Concept & General Public Advertising for Event
This would be pushed out one week before the event to prevent interfering with scheduled and advertised Christmas sessions.
Christmas is almost here! Capture the spirit of the holiday this season with the ones you love. Haven’t had a chance to schedule a Christmas session, never had one before, or want to try something new? With four gorgeous Christmas setups and multiple photographers, this studio walk-in is the perfect way to have more options and choose the images you love. Light refreshments and a photo booth will be provided.
Pricing: No studio sitting fee and no commitment to minimum image purchases. Simply $20 per image you choose.
How To Purchase Images: Each photographer (up to 5) will be emailing you with a gallery link that will display images available for purchase with a large watermark over each image. Each gallery will provide the option to purchase the non-watermarked version of any of the images you choose for a maximum of $20 per image. (Some photographers may provide discounted bulk or full gallery purchase rates.) Images will be available for purchase until January 6th, 2026.
Participating Photographers: Things to Know
Target Audience: We’ve receved a lot of interest from families who would like to use the studio to capture family photos with their phones or personal cameras. Our goal with this is to reach those families who may have never worked with a professional photographer before or who may have limited budgets. Set closer to Christmas and advertised only a week prior to prevent distruption to Christmas sessions being advertised, this event would be a studio walk-in featuring a maxmimum of five photographers.
Pricing: Pricing for participating photographers would be $35+tax. All images purchased would be done directly through you at a maximum of $20 per image.
The Details: Each client would be signing a contract with the studio covering model release and standard liability formalities to protect photographers participating. Clients would be purchasing images directly from you and your gallery for maximum of $20 an image. Please know you are more than welcome to offer pricing packs or discounted rates for the whole gallery, we just ask that the maximum charged is $20 per image to ensure we can provide accurate advertising to participants. We will be providing refreshments, a photo booth for clients while they wait, and cookies for the kitchen set.
Things You Would Need: A gallery platform, like Pixieset, which would allow for you to add a watermark across images and provides a store interface for clients to purchase digital downloads. (Don’t know how to set this up? Please let us know! We are happy to help.)
Photographer Rotation: A maximum of 5 photographers would be able to participate. To ensure variety in what you are shooting, we would be rotating creatives after every client to ensure you are not stuck with only one set in the studio.
Benefit for Participating Photographers: Let’s face it, not everyone has done a family session and if they are new to the world of looking for a professional photographer, it can feel intimidating and complicated. Our goal in the design of this event is to provide a no-pressure feel for those who may have limited experience or feel hesitant in booking sessions with an opportunity to work and build a connection with photographers to help in encouraging future bookings, not only in the studio but for all the future milestones ahead.
When do I need to deliver images by? This is up to you, but we recommend sending out galleries within one week of the event.
How long to I have to keep images for? A a minimum, until January 6th. We are adding to promotional material and contracts that images will only be stored until January 6th, so while you are welcome to hold them longer, you will are not obligated to.
Do you know how many people would be there? We don’t! We are going to be providing free ticket sales to gauge interest in preparation, but a huge format of this would be on a walk-in basis. So, while we hope the numbers are high, we won’t fully know until the day. Photographers not participating will also be welcome to join if they would like to.
