A Guide for Booking the Studio

Interior design meets five-star service and all the features found in traditional studios — revolutionize your client’s experience in a space that makes it easy to capture stunning imagery backed by a team that is fully focused on helping creatives succeed.

Our studio provides two options for photographers.

Designed to bring a wealth of resources to photographers who have a passion for capturing stunning imagery, our studio is thoughtfully arranged to provide two distinct client experiences. The first is our curated installed sets, intricate environments assembled by our team together with a featured set designer to make it effortless for photographers to walk in and begin shooting without the hassle of setup. The second is our flexible inventory system paired with a full cyclorama wall and/or seamless paper station, which together give photographers complete control to create custom sets using any items from our extensive inventory or props they bring themselves.

Understanding the Difference

Installed Curated Sets

Intricate Sets that Stay Installed in the Studio

If you’ve been watching our social media, chances are you’ve seen these sets dozens of times. Carefully crafted to be intricate—often with more than 50 individual pieces installed—these designs deliver a strong wow factor and regularly serve as a major draw for photographers looking to increase how often clients book studio sessions.

Because these sets are complex and can easily lose pieces or be damaged, every item within curated sets must remain in place and nothing may be removed or repurposed elsewhere in the studio.

Inventory System & Quick Sets

Simple Sets & Items Setup Right Before Your Rental

Don’t love the rigid nature of being stuck with a set just like it is? That’s exactly why our inventory system and quick sets exist — to give you flexibility and creative control. With over 700 items ready and rotating, our platform supplies the props, furniture, and accessories you need to build a set that truly reflects your vision. Just remember to place your reservation early so the pieces you want are waiting in the studio when you arrive.

Why do we use an inventory system? To keep the workspace uncluttered: by storing the bulk of our inventory off site, we free up studio space and let you plan sessions confidently with clients, knowing the items you need will be available.

Planning Ahead is Key

The key is to plan ahead! Most items will require an advance notice of 24 hours or more, so planning out what you would like to have well ahead of time will help ensure you have everything you need and reduce last‑minute stress on the day.

  • For any session that will include anything beyond the use of our curated sets or the blank cyclorama wall.

  • Absolutely! In fact, we encourage it. If a reservation comes in from your client, we’ll always send you an email to let you know.

  • Yes! We offer more than 20 colors of seamless paper, and using our inventory system lets us know which ones you would like to use.

  • If it's your first time renting from us, we understand it can be difficult to estimate exactly how much you'll need. Below are some helpful tips for new renters.

    • Keep it simple — four sets are always installed in the studio, and it’s often challenging to get through all of them in a single hour.

    • It’s a great idea to feel out the space first before creating an extensive inventory request.

    • Backdrops and quick sets are arranged inside the cyclorama wall, so if you plan on using that area, please limit your request to one backdrop.

    • The best part of the studio is the generous, flexible space it provides; keeping your setup simple and reducing the number of items will give you a smoother, more productive first-time experience.

Quick Sets

Quick Sets are curated arrangements that use a limited number of items to make it easier for you and your clients to visualize the creative possibilities. Designed for flexibility and efficiency, Quick Sets let you add or remove pieces and make adjustments as often as needed, giving you freedom to refine the look and flow of your shoot with minimal effort.

Our Inventory System

Fully Customize Your Client’s Experience

Packed with over 700 cataloged items, our inventory platform gives photographers expanded creative control without the added expense. Built to declutter the studio by enabling off-site storage, it also provides fast, shareable access so you and your clients can coordinate and craft the perfect session.

Always kept current, our inventory system tracks items even when they’re in use within curated sets, giving you the clarity to know precisely what’s available and when it will be ready.

Can I share the inventory system link with clients?

Absolutely! Orders placed by clients are shared with photographers who are listed on the photographer box when booking.

Can I bring my own items into the studio?

Absolutely!

I see the Music Playlist category. Is this how I can select what music is playing during my rental?

Yes! Skip the need to ask and create the perfect vibe for your rental. The inventory system allows you to select from a list of curated playlists or you can submit your own Apple Music playlist.

Why do some things have an additional charge?

Items that have an additional charge are typically higher-value or costly, often fragile and easily damaged, single-use items, white or light-colored that have a limited shelf life, or heavy-lift items that require additional staffing and handling.

How does invoicing work for items with a charge?

We’ll send a separate invoice to the person placing the inventory reservation; it will be due one day before your rental date. Just make sure to pay this invoice on time so the reserved items are ready and available in the studio before you arrive.

Making Things Easier

Did you know? Your clients can book the studio.

Skip the pass-through and keep it easy. Your clients are always welcome to book the studio on their own.

As long as we have your information on file—either from a previous rental or from attending one of our events—and your client lists your name in the photographer box when booking, you’ll automatically be added to their calendar invite, which will give you access to view their contract, questionnaire, and related booking documents.

Arriving to the Studio for Your First Rental

For your first rental, there’s so much to share and we’re excited to welcome you! If you haven’t toured with us before, please arrive about 15 minutes early so we have time to go over the basics and get you comfortable with the space.

Want to be fully prepared before you arrive? Feel free to schedule a studio tour with us ahead of your rental — it’s a great way to familiarize yourself with the space and equipment.

The Ins-and-Outs of What it’s Like to Rent from Us

Exclusive Use of the Entire Studio

All of our rentals are exclusive, and you will have the full use of the studio space during your rental. While photographers are welcome to make a reservation together, we only take one rental per time slot.

Entering the Studio

Our studio is always fully staffed, and you and your clients are warmly greeted upon arrival so you immediately feel welcome, comfortable, and genuinely appreciated. This helps ensure that even if your clients arrive before you, they will be met with open doors, personally welcomed by our attentive staff, offered refreshments, and shown a comfortable place to relax while they wait.

Sticky Mats & White Floors

Almost all of the flooring within the studio is white — and not just any white. This flat white paint is specifically formulated for photography, with a light reflectance value in the mid-80% range to reduce reflective glare and produce seamless white backgrounds. The downside? That pristine surface readily shows dirt. To keep sessions comfortable for your clients without banning shoes, we use sticky mats at the entry to capture debris before you reach the white floor. A few light presses until dirt no longer appears, and you’re ready to go.

Call Buttons

Customer service is our top priority, and our staff is availble to provide support whenever you need it. While your session is in progress our staff is nearby in the breakroom or the office, ready to assist. Need our help? Three convenient call buttons are installed within the studio to make it quick and easy to reach us.

Fabric, Polypaper & Seamless Paper Backdrops

For inventory requests made for fabric and polypaper backdrops, our staff will preset, steam, and hang up to two backdrops for you to ensure they’re shoot-ready. For seamless paper, our team will hang the color selections you place through our inventory system at the seamless paper station and prepare up to one color in advance of your arrival. Have a preference for which color you’d like to use first? Send us an email to let us know!

Lighting in the Studio

Steady lights are always prepped and ready before you arrive and available to use at no extra cost while you’re here. If you need higher-powered lights or off-camera flash (OCF), we also offer those options for an additional fee, and they can be reserved through our inventory system at any time.

Leaving the Studio

Skip the clean up — our staff will take care of everything after you depart. Just be sure to press the call button to let us know you're leaving so we can say goodbye and see you off.

Sanitation

Cleanliness is important to us! Between each rental, all hard touch surfaces are thoroughly wiped down with Lysol wipes and fabric surfaces are sprayed with Lysol spray. We also keep hand sanitizer readily available at the front of the studio for your convenience.

Memberships (Credit Packs)

Looking for additional savings? Unlike traditional monthly memberships, our studio offers a different alternative through flexible credit packs. Designed to free you from an ongoing obligation, credit packs provide the freedom to scale your bookings, save on sessions, and avoid long-term commitment while still getting reliable access to our studio space.

The Cyclorama Wall

With a striking appearance that instantly elevates the perception of what a studio session can be, the cyclorama wall stretches 22 feet wide with a gentle two-foot curve, flowing seamlessly into 30 feet of white floor — all carefully maintained with paint specifically formulated for photography and delivering a consistent light reflectance value in the mid-80% range. Thoughtfully designed for comfort and shooting efficiency, it easily accommodates groups of up to 24 people and opens the door to an expansive range of creative possibilities.

Cyclorama Wall Care

Tips for Cyc Wall Success
(With a slightly fun twist)

Avoid stepping on the curve, or you risk sinking toward the center of the earth. It’s delicate and may require patching (and a fee) if pressure is applied.

Outside shoes are gross, and every pair wiped clean on the sticky mat gives a photographer one less worry and a bit more peace of mind. We don’t want any photographer to face the tedious, time-consuming task of painstakingly editing footprints and grime out of their images. Keep your footwear clean for cleaner sets and smoother post-production.

Ask for help when moving items! While it might make for an amusing blooper reel, we don’t want anyone slipping, tripping, or falling while you’re here — so please get assistance when lifting or carrying heavier pieces.

Glitter is fun, but the wall doesn’t want to sparkle. Glitter and confetti are for use in the seamless paper area and cannot be used on the cyclorama wall.

We know, it’s the star of the show! With a graceful two‑foot curve, a generous width of 22 feet and 30 feet of pristine white floor stretching out in front, it makes a bold, unforgettable statement all on its own. Just remember: it’s delicate, so please handle with care.

We have a wide curve — it’s one of the things that makes captures look so beautiful, but stepping on the curve will damage the seams and require mudding, patching, and repainting of the wall. If patching is required, a $100 + tax fee applies, so please communicate this with your clients before you arrive so they know and are prepared.

We know that little ones LOVE to jump on the curve because it’s fun, but it causes soooo much damage! Looking for ways to distract energetic kiddos and keep them off the wall? Press that call button — we’ve got you covered! We always have bubbles, coloring books, and a variety of toys on hand to keep little hands and feet busy while you’re here.

Updates to Cyc Wall Use for 2026

We love the wall and we know you do too. We understand how important the cyclorama wall is to our renters, and our number one goal is to avoid charging extra for its use — but we need your help! Our wall is expansive with an exceptionally wide, delicate curve, and each time a client steps on, lies on, or jumps onto the curve the surface becomes damaged — no matter how delicate you try to be. That damage lasts beyond your session and impacts every rental that follows until repairs can be completed. Repairing the wall pulls valuable studio resources away from buying new equipment, expanding inventory, or making upgrades that would better serve and engage your clients.

With damage occurring in roughly 50% of rentals going into 2026, we’re implementing a few thoughtful changes to help protect the wall curve and provide you with the tools and resources you need to more effectively communicate with your clients during your rental.

  • Addition of Tape Guides. We understand that most damage occurs because it is very difficult to see where the curve begins. For clarity and to make it easier to communicate with your clients, tape has been added as a guide to indicate where the curve starts. We hope this will make it easier, especially for new renters or for clients you have never been in the studio before, to have more confidence on the area of the wall that is safe to work within. If you are an active renter who has been with us for a long time, please know this tape is removable — however, we have found after some testing that it makes it so much easier for your clients to see where they can step safely. If you have any questions about removing tape lines from your images or would like tips on the best removal methods, please don’t hesitate to let us know. We’re always happy to help!

  • Signage. Signage has been added to make it easier for you to communicate the importance of staying off the curve and provide the backing you need to pass repair fees onto clients if you ever need to.

Boudoir Rentals

Looking for a place for a light and airy vibe, preset with backdrops perfect for boudoir sessions?

You’ve come to the right place — but, we’re not a perfect fit for every type of boudoir!

We are a perfect fit for boudoir sessions where your clients will be wearing lingerie with safe and standard posing.

We are not a fit for boudoir sessions that contain nudity, sexual or dangerous acts, underage persons, or for boudoir sessions taking place outdoors. These are strictly prohibited in our studio.

The key is to thoughtfully gauge your client’s comfort level before booking by clearly communicating the touch points outlined below.

*Helpful Tip for Communicating with Clients*
We’re the perfect fit for pinup and boudoir that your client would feel confident and comfortable sharing on social media.

Visibility: The studio is equipped with white curtains to cover the doors and large front window units, blocking visibility from the parking lot, while allowing some natural light to come in.

Staffing: Our studio is always staffed and will greet you upon arrival. Our studio contains two areas for staff — the break room and admin office — which are used by our staff for administrative tasks during rentals. For boudoir sessions, our staff remains in these areas, unless someone uses one of the call buttons to ask for help. Please note that, as federally required, we are unable to discriminate on the basis of gender when creating staff schedules. Because of this, please be sure to discuss with your client before booking so they are aware that staff members of any gender may be present in staff areas of the studio during your rental.

Cameras: Our studio uses a total of three security cameras in the main area of the studio to monitor entrances to key areas of the studio. These cameras use a green light to indicate when they are on. Security cameras are turned off during boudoir rentals and no security cameras are located in any areas where a door can be closed to create a private room (i.e. bathroom, break room or admin office).

Rentals with Newborns

Skip the expense of buying costly newborn items and choose a space that provides everything you need. Our studio is fully equipped with a professional posing table, a wide selection of props, outfits, and backdrops, plus soft, natural window light ideal for newborn sessions.

Newborn Safety & Under 6 Week Restriction

Newborn safety is incredibly important to us, and to ensure a secure, comfortable environment for both clients and photographers, we do have one specific restriction regarding newborn rentals in the studio.

Newborns are delicate little humans, and those sweet images you see of perfectly posed babies in baskets are safest when a photographer is not just experienced but also properly trained in newborn safety and handling. For that reason, our studio requires any photographer who will be directly handling newborns under 6 weeks of age to carry liability insurance, and we ask that a Certificate of Insurance (COI) be on file before those sessions take place.

This policy does not apply to lifestyle rentals in which the parents are the sole handlers of their little one and the photographer will not be physically posing, handling, or manipulating newborns under six weeks of age.
