Book the studio. Find the photographer who fits.
A studio where the set is already built and the stress isn’t yours.
Somewhere between booking the session and the day itself, the list starts growing. The maternity dress that costs more than you planned. The backdrop for the cake smash, and the balloons, and the thing to hang them on. The corner of a living room that never quite turns into the picture you have in your head.
That's the part we take off your plate.
Wait, this has been here the whole time?
Our advertising? A few IG posts. Our hype? The photographers who found us and never stopped talking.
Our paid marketing? A few promoted IG posts and two years of quietly getting the details right: the booking, the inventory, the flow of the day. We figured the marketing could wait.
Our hype? Built entirely on the photographers who found us early, took the chance, and fell in love. Their work made this place, and their love for something new is the whole reason it exists. Consider this a tribute to them, and your official invite to find out what they already know.
What Is This Place?
We're a co-working rental photography studio in Richlands, NC. You pull into your own parking spot and walk in at ground level, no stairs, no shared lobby, nobody ahead of you. The building was selected deliberately: the sun tracks across it on a diagonal, so light stays even instead of harsh, and the sets are dimensional and layered on purpose, built to give your images real depth instead of a flat backdrop. There's even a beautiful field outside to end your session outdoors while the sun sets.
Inside, everything you'd otherwise be scrambling for is already here: a room to change, a restroom, a beverage station, beauty stations for hair and makeup, a client closet, and a staff member on the floor all day. You're never improvising. You're never holding onto a question without an answer.
A space filled with styled sets and over 1,000 pieces of inventory, all entirely yours to use. The sets are already built. The props already exist. The light is already handled. You choose your vibe, hold your date, then take your pick from the photographers who shoot here or bring one of your own.
No sourcing a backdrop the week of. No shooting around the sofa. No hoping the spare room reads bigger than it is.
When you book, the whole studio is yours. No other photographers, no shared spaces. Every set you see here is exclusively yours for your rental.
How It Works
Pick your time. Four curated sets (seven during Christmas) are on the floor, or take the custom option with the cyclorama wall, seamless paper and the full prop closet. Over 1,000 pieces are yours to work with, along with the client closet, the beauty stations and the light.
Reserve your rental date. That is what takes the studio off the calendar for the date and time you need.
Choose your photographer. Once your date is held, we can help you find the photographer that’s perfect for your vision or you can bring one of your own. A full list of our regulars are below. Not sure who to pick? Send us your inspo and your budget and we’ll connect you.
We make the introduction. You and your photographer talk directly from there. They handle their own session fee and their own gallery. We handle the space, the welcome, the inventory and the amenities.
Eliminate the Stress of the Outdoors
An outdoor setup rolls the dice on a 40-degree day, a wind warning, or a week of rain. Here, the temperature is set, the light is set, and the date you booked is the date that happens. The only weather in this building is the kind you choose: the snowy set, the cedar, the lights.
And for November & December when it's all done, the fun doesn't have to end. Mike's Farm and its Festival of Lights hayride are eight minutes away, so your session can become the first stop of a full holiday afternoon.
Right Now on the Floor
Seven Christmas sets will be in the studio from October 29th through December 31st, built from nearly a thousand individual pieces over three days. Pick your set now, hold your date, and plan the outfits. (Four curated sets rotate the rest of the year, or go custom with the cyclorama wall, seamless paper and the full prop closet.)
What a Session Usually Costs
The ranges below combine our rental rate with what photographers who shoot here typically charge.
Your photographer sets their own fee and invoices you directly, so the final number is always theirs. Think of these as a guide to what the whole experience could look like.
30-Minute Session
$225 to $360
Enough for a single look, and a couple of the sets and an easy yes for a client who has never done this before.
60-Minute Session
$400 to $650
The sweet spot. Time for a wardrobe change, multiple sets and a session that does not feel rushed.
90-Minute Session
$500 to $840
Two to three looks and room to breathe between setups.
Or turn it into a whole pampered afternoon…
Our Onsite Glam Package is where you just get to enjoy it. Three hours in the studio, hair and makeup included. Built around one idea: you walk in already taken care of. Your hair and makeup artist comes to you, right here, and you settle in while the details are handled. Refreshments and snacks on hand, a room to change in, a staff member here if anything comes up. And the part clients love most: you step onto the set the very moment your look is at its best. No drive across town while the humidity and the wind do their worst. No fixing your hair in a parking lot and hoping it holds. No accidental touch to the face that smudges what took hours to perfect. You're fresh, you're glowing, and the camera is waiting exactly when you are.
Our Onsite Glam package includes two hours in the studio dedicated to hair and makeup and an hour for the session. With the artists' fee on top, the typical all-in lands between $800 and $1,050.
And for the family sessions — it’s the calmest version of a family shoot there is.
Picture it. Mom arrives early and settles into the chair, refreshments in reach, hair and makeup underway, the one stretch of the day that's entirely hers. The kids head off on their own little adventure, with parks and Mike's Farm just minutes away, and come back full of things to tell you. By the time everyone meets up on the set, Mom is fresh from the chair, her look exactly as it was meant to be, and the whole family walks in relaxed and ready. No rushing out the door with curlers in. No touching up in the parking lot. Just everyone centered around the same space already having had a good day.
The Photographers
These are the photographers who rent here, and who have asked to be introduced to clients like you. Same studio, very different eyes. Some chase soft light and quiet color. Some want contrast and a little drama.
Look through their work and tell us what you like. Reach out to a photographer directly, or simply send us a style, a few sample images, or a feeling you're going for, and we'll make the introduction. There's no wrong way to start, and no pressure to know exactly what you want.
Studio-Hosted Events for Clients
Designed for clients who want to experience the studio for the first time, photographer included.
Every event on this floor is hosted by one of our Elite Residency member photographers and includes both the session and the space. Each one is built around a theme: a season, a set, a reason to dress up and show up. You book a spot, walk in, and the set, the photographer, and the whole experience are already waiting for you.
There's no planning to do and nobody to interview. Just pick the event that sounds like your kind of day.
